New Hair!

I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. I love the color, but hate the thickness. Sure, thick hair is great, but the amount of hair I have is ridiculous. When it's getting long, it grows out wide. It's just overwhelming if I have too long of hair. I've donated my hair twice and it's seriously one of my favorite things to do, I feel so good afterwards. :) Last time I donated, I was able to make three wigs! Today, I chopped some locks and adore my new style!
Before (excuse the tired eyes and unstyled, disgusting hair!)
After!
The amount of hair on the floor was an awful lot for only a few inches! My hair stylist says I have the thickest hair of any her clients, lucky me. I guess it will be good when I start losing hair when I get old! ;) My cut is an 'extended bob' so it's shorter in the back but gets longer in the front. I love it!

One Month Blogiversary!

That's right folks, today is the one month anniversary of starting this blog, my baby. Everyday it gives me something to think about. Any little thing that happens has the possibility of being a post, whether it be the food I ate or a new favorite song. Through this blog, I realized something special and great does happen each day, some days you just have to think about it a little harder. I love blogging and can't wait till I make it to the one year point, five year point, ten year point... you're all just going to follow me the rest of my life because I know now, blogging is something I want to do forever. To my dedicated six best friends that read this everyday- Riley, Kylee, Mackenzie, Maddison, Jessica, and Sierra and anybody else out there, your pageviews make my day! Thank you for your support and I can't wait to see what else comes from the blog!

Movie Night

The best day ever to go to the movies is definitely Thursday. It's not overly busy and best of all... it's student day! Instead of a whopping $10.50 for a ticket, it's $7.50. Pricey, but better than the usual. So, today Kylee, Jessica, Mackenzie and I went out. First, an early, insane dinner at Red Robin (choking, texting, pictures, dates, laughing) and then off to see What to Expect When Your Expecting.

I think it's fair to say any four of us would have a child with this hot young thing.
Yes please.

We were all alone in the theater!!! Some old guy did come in, however that did not stop belching, loud laughter, and talking during the movie.
ALL ALONE!
Typical :)
I loved the movie. Loved it! My favorite couple was Anna Kendrick and Chace Crawford :) Kylee decided she is not having babies, Jessica is adopting a black child after she's 'done with her kiddos', and Mack & I want children now. (just kidding ;) in the future!) I'd love to see the movie again!

Friends

The early years
{via tv.com}

Why oh why was I born in 1996? The amazing, wonderful, magnificent show "Friends" had already been on for two years! My mom always watched it and I vaguely remember episodes and parts, but have watched reruns on and off for quite a while. Now, I love it! I started from the beginning and am hooked! It's the best! I would just love to live in an apartment in New York one day with five other super close friends, wouldn't that be the life?!

Polka Dots

Perhaps my favorite, therapeutic thing to do is paint nails. Love it. Hate the smell, but love the end result. Polished nails make your nails stronger and longer faster, which is always beneficial! I have my special 'nail doing' tray, special remover stick, plenty of cotton, remover, and tons of different colors. However, I'm picky about when I wear the colors. Summer, it's all about brights! Fall and winter, warms and neutrals. Spring, pastels and creamy colors. Yep, that's me. :) Here's tonight's manicure-- Essie Meet Me At Sunset with polka dots on the ring finger with Essie Blanc. I ♥ it!

Fun, bright, dotty, love.
I promise it's orange, like a very bright coral :)

Nostalgia, 2010

Before I start my ramblings, look at these beautiful  beignets made by my wonderful friend, Riley! This is a moment of true pride, as Riley cannot cook macaroni and cheese from the box and did not realize a muffin tin is needed when cooking muffins, as she thought you could just place the paper cups on the oven rack. ;)  So these beignets are proof that she is growing as a chef!
They look great!
Recipe here
Speaking of Riley, I thought we'd take a trip down memory lane of summers past. Summer 2010, specifically. Jessica, this is for you, even though you think blogging is for old ladies and Riley, because I know you like being mentioned.
Here is Riley in the summer of '10

And here is Jessica, with Murphy
Oh the days before high school. We were so innocent (innocent enough, that is) and little! But we always had the best times ever. :)
Ballet-- Ballerina Buddies!
Lazy reservoir days
We had a thing for jumping pictures...
Pictures at random hills in neighborhoods
Jumping pictures...
Long, summer hair
The many faces of Riley
...and the days of braces

What did I tell you about jumping?
Fire lovers
My all-time favorite picture ;) Just look at their expressions!

And here we are today! We've grown so much (maybe not our maturity in certain times) but I still have wild times with these girls
These girls ALWAYS make me laugh, whether it be a picture of a hilarious innuendo or just their personality. It's crazy to think that we still have all the greatest times in the summer, even two years later. I hope you two liked this post! :)

Pinterest Fave Five

I am suffering a bad case of blog block. So I'll just show you five of my favorite Pinterest pins from this week!

1. I saw this pin (I actually didn't pin it) that gave a list of events in life. You were to put your iPod on shuffle and whatever song came on went with the event on the list. The songs are considered the "Soundtrack of Your Life". Here was mine- I could not believe how well each song went with each event! By the fourth song, I was just laughing- maybe it's my destiny ;)

Opening credits: Ordinary Miracle - Sarah McLachlan
Waking up: White Christmas - Dean Martin {perfect since I♥Christmas}
Falling in love: Amor - Ben E. King
Fight song: You Make Me Feel... - Cobra Starship
Breaking up: Someone Like You - Adele
Getting back together: This Love - Maroon 5
Wedding: Annie’s Song - John Denver
Birth of child: Let’s Here It for the Boy - Deniece Williams
Final battle: Tragedy - Brandi Carlile
Death scene: Turn to Stone - Ingrid Michaelson
Funeral song: Feels Like Home - Chantal Kreviazuk
End credits: Way to the Future - Katie Herzig

2. This picture KILLS me!
3. I read this book this year and wasn't very impressed, but the movie looks great!
The Perks of Being A Wallflower
4. Vienna, isn't it beautiful?! I'm going there next summer! With some of my best friends!!!
5. Oh my goodness. YUM. Cheesecake  brownie bites? Don't mind if I do!
