Happy Easter! Christos Anesti, He has risen indeed!
This past week was a reminder of all the good things in my life that I so often forget when busy and stressed....
Birthday surprises
and celebrations
Watching great movies all day with my mom that leave old songs in our heads
Movie days after sledding
The best pictures from a BF5ever
Exploring downtown Denver
and ending the day with lots of laughter at the Old Spaghetti Factory
Shopping/running errands with my mom all day...and laughing from pure exhaustion trying on pajamas on top of her clothes at Target
Another day just with my momma, my favorite- ending it with Wahoo's
Cleaning my closet and reorganizing all my clothes in OCD fashion
Purple loving little sister
Reading a great book in less than a day (you better believe I've got a lot to say about it too!)
Watching one of the strangest movies ever
Babysitting my favorite littles
Pictures for me from my cousin (btw, she made only me one! and told me I was her favorite! This is monumental!)
I was going to make use of my break and catch up on blogging- I've got a list of things to record. But I just let things roll, and made the best of each day, getting up by 9 and not going to bed until 12 because I was spending time with some of my favorite people. Life is really about enjoying the small things.
While at dinner, she was discussing a new "fashion" Instagram account she started with her friend.
"We started getting a lot of followers by going to people that had at least 1 killion followers, that way their followers would follow us. Hopefully we'll get a killion too!"
Spring break has had a pretty amazing start I'd say. My birthday brought a foot and a half of fresh snow which is how spring break in Colorado goes. We're very lucky when it doesn't snow during spring break for sure.
So this is #howwespringbreak
Saturday was spent on the couch with my mom. It was probably one of the best days ever, I won't lie. We watched a ton of good movies as my other siblings made snow forts and went sledding. We watched The Devil Wears Prada, Mermaids, The Family Stone, Muriel's Wedding (my favorite scene :)), and You've Got Mail, all older movies but so good!! You've Got Mail is my new favorite!!!!
Sunday was just perfect. I watched Crazy, Stupid, Love and had waffles for breakfast, followed by the messiest, fastest sledding experience of my life. Jess, Mack, Riley, and I met up and no bones were broken! Although the first time down for me was a close call;) Mackenzie has a video I'll get from her some other time, but as soon as I started going, it was a flashback to August without a doubt. We went down several times, and each time, we just got more covered in mud from where the track had become bare. Somehow, Riley and I were always rolling on top of each other, or holding onto each other in mid-air, or hitting heads. It was so much fun! Definitely more fun than whatever goes down in this new movie. It looks ridiculous, definitely not what I would expect for a Selena Gomez movie! The day continued with hot chocolate, popcorn, and going to the movies. Riley, Mackenzie, and I saw Admission and Silver Linings Playbook. Riley only asked about 12,000 questions in Silver Linings Playbook. We were planning on grabbing a late dinner at Outback because we all wanted steak, but it closed at 9- ridiculous! So we went to a less classier Red Robin. Oh well, it worked. A traditional Sunday night sleepover followed, and we watched P.S. I Love You (one of my favorites!!) and Riley continued to ask 12,000 questions before falling asleep.

Hair in her mouth hahaha
Movie #1- Admission
Stereotypical teenagers at the movie picture
Movie #2- Silver Linings Playbook
Riley being Riley
The snow made a butterfly on Mackenzie's car, we were all pretty excited!
Monday turned into sleeping in late, lunch with my mom, a long shopping trip at Target, and shopping for new flooring for our basement. Exciting stuff folks. But I'd do that ANYDAY over school!
Tomorrow the adventures continue with shopping, one of my favorite things ever!
Today, we have one of my favorite things ever, a guest post. I love guest posts because 1) they give this blog some different character and 2) I don't have to spend the time writing the post hahaha. But I don have to format it all so that kinda sucks. Oh well, so be it. Today we have a Jess, who has contributed here before. Here's her past post- here (I feel like she did another but maybe I'm dreaming)! Thank you Jess!
Hello readers of Hannah’s blog you were probably expecting some deep and insightful post but that’s not what this is. BUT DON’T PANIC!!! Hannah will be back posting faster than you can say “Man Alive!” My name’s Jessica/Jessie/Jess but you can call me Jess. You’ve probably seen me make a few appearances on Hannah’s blog. I’m the one that looks like I’m on drugs half the time…. Example 1:

Ok you get the idea. Anyways… I’m here to tell you about a magical journey that Riley, Sierra and I went on. Prepare to get mentally blown! It all started on the night of March 21st. School had just ended for spring break, and I was really really bored. Then I got a call from Sierra and Riley asking if I wanted to go on an adventure, and I said yes and I went to pick them up! After I picked them up, we went to the park to walk through the tunnels. It was pretty much the coolest thing ever. Riley couldn’t possibly hold on to me any tighter, and I was too short to see out of the storm drain, but it was still awesome! I can’t wait to go again (when it’s warmer and I’m wearing better shoes) and walk the whole thing!
Then, Riley and Sierra made me drive their short-cut past “BDubbs” house. That was not my favorite part, but it made them happy so whatevs. Then we went to Target to get toilet paper so we could teepee one of our friends. We ended up buying toilet paper, gummy bears, Zours, chocolate pomegranate things, a poster, glow sticks, a small set of silverware for babies, and a giant spoon. When we checked out, the lady couldn’t stop talking about the big spoon. I told her that our friend was scarred of spoons and we were going to hide the spoon in her bed. I have no idea where that came from. Then Sierra and Riley were talking about spooning with the spoon and the lady freaked out and said we shouldn’t know what that was even though she was only like 2 years older than us….
And in the Target parking lot I almost had a heart attack because my car wouldn’t start omg.
Mackenzie was out of town and she was coming home late that night so we decided we should make her presents. So we went to the park and sat on the sidewalk and made a poster for her. P.S. if you swallow gummy bears whole it feels so cool going down your throat #justsayin
I don’t have a picture of the poster and I’m too lazy to find one but basically we are freaking hilarious and the whole poster was based on the theme of German spoons
Ohh also watch this because it basically summed up the night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc8Amz5D8CU (PS watch the Adventurous Adventures of One Direction by Mark Parsons if you’re into that stuff you’ll laugh very hard like HAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)
Then we went to Mackenzie’s and we did the most polite teepeeing ever. There was hardly a mess to clean up. You’re welcome.
#coloradosaysrelax
When we’re famous and our fans have photoshop this picture is going to haunt Sierra forever…
Riley and Sierra wrapped as a mummy

After that we realized Mackenzie wouldn’t be home for like an hour and a half so we needed a way to kill time. That’s where the glow sticks come in. We drove around looking like we were on crack with toilet paper tied around our heads and glow sticks sticking out. We went to Hannah’s house and we wrote “Baby you light up my world like nobody else” and left it on her doorstep with some glow sticks and some chocolate pomegranate things. We drove away, but then we went back and hung out at her house for a while. That was cool. When we went to visit Hannah she told us about the fabulous Mountain Dew things at Taco Bell so we left immediately to go get some. We ordered 3 Mountain Dew things, a nacho cheese Dorito taco, and a cool ranch Dorito taco. When we paid, I wrapped a gummy bear inside the money. The guy was like “is this for me?” and I was like “yeah you can have it” and he was like “thank you” ahahahahaha
P.S. the tacos were definitely not as good as they look on the commercials
But the Mountain Dew things were kick butt 9/10 would recommend
Then we went and sat outside Mack’s house waiting for her to get home. Except it took a lot longer than we thought. And while we were creepily sitting out in front of her neighbor’s house, her neighbor came out and scared the shizz out of us because it was just a dark figure starring at us. We knew we couldn’t just leave because that would look shady, so Sierra bravely ran to Mackenzie’s porch and pretended to drop something off so we wouldn’t look like creepers. Then we left and parked in front of an elementary school because that’s less weird. Finally, Mackenzie came home! She was very excited to see her present. Or at least I thought she was. She could have just thought we were annoying white girls the world may never know.
Then I dropped off Riley and Sierra and went back home. Best night ever. Ok not ever but definitely in the top 5 I mean nothing can top the Ed Sheeran concert ya know. Thanks for allowing to post on this blog sorry I’m not as good at Hannah and this was not very insightful but omg here I’ll write a quote to fill up your spiritual and emotional happiness. “You may not be plastic, but you sure are fantastic” – L. W. Tomlinson Peace
Happy birthday, you are 17! You made it, another year of life is over, and it was definitely one of your best. You're going to want to remember everything from when you were 16, because that's just the way you are.
You love sunshine, but also love the rain. It always put you in a great mood. Grey days were some of your favorite.
You love music, and all kinds of it, but find yourself listening to Mindy Gledhill more than anything. Her whimsical, natural voice makes you as happy as can be. There is never a time when you shouldn't listen to Mindy!
You are OCD about painted nails. They're either all perfectly polished, or all peeled off and naked. It's just the way you are!
You have a loyal group of friends. Loyal in so many ways. From the daily question from Riley about what we do in physics, or being sentimental with Mackenzie during 5th off, you know you can always, always, always count on them.
You have finally learned to prioritize- for the most part;) You have a backup plan for those nights when you just can't read for Euro, and when you should finally say no to babysitting. Take the time to relax and keep yourself centered.
Speaking of relaxing, you can watch Netflix and other online shows like no one's business. You watched a lot of good movies this year, from Steel Magnolias to Little Miss Sunshine, you laughed, cried, and told all you could about the best and worst movies to watch online.
Grey's Anatomy is still your favorite show. Something's never change.
You're favorite foods are popcorn, turkey jerky, Thin Mints, sweet tea, coconut, and sweet potatoes. You definitely take advantage of the whole eating-like-a-teenager thing.
Tennis is your favorite way to let loose and have fun, while still be competitive. You're getting better and better every day you play.
Weekends usually consist of babysitting, but you love it. It's the easiest way to make bank, and the kids always love you more than they love their parents, so it's a win-win situation!
You want to be a doctor, and are working towards it, but have lots of back-up plans, because you want to have a family even more. You know that there is so much in store for you in the future.
Speaking of the future, you don't know where you want to go to college, but will figure it out sooner or later. Wherever you go, you'll love it! You're hard work will pay off!
And perhaps one of the best parts of being 16 was finding blogging, your perfect little niche. A way to
write it all down, and share what brings you joy, and what you wish you
could change. It's the best way to pour out your heart.
It's not just Friday, it's my 17th birthday too! And the first day of spring break!
Let the celebrating begin! :)
1. Flowers... for myself, from myself, just because.
2. St. Patrick's Day breakfast, in bed:)
3. This happened. And caused a very sick week.
4. Oh.my.gosh. How come I never knew about these amazing, life changing frozen drinks? Go to your nearest Taco Bell, and get a Mountain Dew Baja Blast Freeze. It will change your life! (especially if you're throat hurts as much as mine!)
5. A special thank you to Kylee for bringing me over the sweetest get well gift, it really brightened my day!
my true love gave to me! Haha the title of this post totally made me think of that song. and Christmas. Oh man, I cannot listen to more Christmas music, I've been doing such a good job holding off!
Anyways, today is my last day of being 16. And man alive (hehe Riley) was it an unproductive, boring day.
I stayed home sick, because of a fantastic sinus infection and double ear infection and fever that has been harvesting in the body of mine all week. I don't remember the last time I was this sick, but the good news is the doc put me on a new antibiotic that is really helping!
So I woke up around 10:56am, because Jess texted me and asked if I was at school. I've left her alone all week and feel very guilty, I'm sorry Jess! Then, I decided to take a shower, paint my nails, and catch up on some TV shows. I watched The New Normal, Modern Family, and The Carrie Diaries until about 2:15 when I decided to clean my room. That obviously turned into me-trying-to-sing-but-I-can't-cuz-I'm-sick and I gave up around 2:30. I decided to eat something finally, and had three Samoas, some orange juice, and turkey jerky, the epitome of a healthy brunch. At 2:35, Kylee came over with my history stuff (THANK YOU KYLEE!) and few get well soon treats. Totally brightened my day! We chatted for a bit, and then I picked up my siblings from school. So exciting. At 5, my mom picked us up to get my dad, who had some back surgery thing done, and some dinner (Grilled cheese from Freddy's, holla). When I got home with my dad, I dropped him off and turned around to deal with my phone issues at the Apple store. That resulted in an hour and a half of boring stuff until they finally realized, duh, they should just give me a new phone. I got home from that, put in my pajamas, and pinned for a while, until! my door bell rang! And there was some glow sticks, a sign that said "You light up my world like nobody else" and a half eaten bag of chocolate-covered pomegranate seeds! And after three or so laps around my street, Jess, Riley, and Sierra appeared! They came and hung out for a little bit, and left after a nice surprise visit. I watched the new Grey's, and wrote this post.
I know my day was just enthralling. But now I will forever remember my last day of being 16. So now, I will go to sleep, for the last time as a 16 year old. Peace out Girl Scouts!
16 songs from this year that were my favorite, and made up the soundtrack of this year of my life.
1. Shots- LMFAO... makes me think of my birthday party, Jessica's birthday party, Kid Nation :)
2. Closest I Get- Katie Herzig... makes me think of how sad I was when my favorite Grey's Anatomy character, Lexie, died. (hahaha I'm just being honest) And how I listened to this song everyday on the way to school for SO LONG. It also reminds me of when I first got my license and spring! Gosh, the ending of this song is just pure emotion and I LOVE IT.
3. Rasputin- Boney M... makes me think of AP World (praise God I'm done with that!) and summer days of playing Just Dance 2
4. Whole Wide World- Mindy Gledhill... makes me also think of spring and driving to school when I first got my license! And running with Mackenzie on our crazy path, and driving to summer tennis. This was my motivator song!
5. Happy Pills- Norah Jones... makes me think of my first concert and my summer text tone! I forgot how much I love this song!
6. Bella's Final: Price Tag/Don't You/Give Me Everything- Pitch Perfect... oh gosh, Pitch Perfect was basically the most life defining movie of my 16th birthday (not to sound dramatic;)) seriously though, this movie was so good and I cannot express how much I LOVE this song!! Best song of the movie!
7. Titanium- David Guetta ft. Sia... makes me think of Pitch Perfect and the beginning of Ricochet! Gosh I love our band:) also makes me think of driving back to Sierra's house after dinner at Crave for her birthday and all of us SCREAMING this song. Good times, good times
8. These Days- Chantal Kreviazuk... this one's for you Mackenzie! Makes me think of listening to this on repeat in math, being absolutely sentimental about how fast high school is going!
9. Unwritten- Natasha Bedingfield... also makes me think of Mack and math. And our love for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. And how we are such saps.
10. I Knew You Were Trouble- Taylor Swift... makes me think of driving to the Vista football game, blaring this and loving being 16. And Riley. This song will always make me think of Riley.
11. Red- Taylor Swift... makes me think of having a competition with O to see who knew the most T-Swift song lyrics and this was my winning song!
12. Anchor- Mindy Gledhill... makes me think of how I fell in love with blogging. I remember watching a video of the Nielson's with this song in the background. nienie was totally who made me want to be a blogger, and this song is just what brings me back to center. My equilibrium song.
13. ABC Cafe/Red and Black- Les Mis... makes me think of how stoked I was for Les Mis to come out and AP Euro. Hahaha oh Suria ;)
14. Rock Me- One Direction... makes me think of how much I tried to like 1D for the sake of my friends. And I mean, I REALLY tried. They just aren't me, what can I say? But this song is the one that I can tolerate the most;) or this one!!!
15. One Day More- Les Mis... makes me think of getting through winter finals! and how darn excited I was to finish school, and to see this brilliant movie!
16. and for my all time favorite... Crazy Love- Mindy Gledhill... makes me think of THIS BEING MY FAVORITE SONG EVER. I don't know why but it's my favorite, I just love Mindy. (obviously)
I've been home sick this week with a triple whammy- a fever, double ear infection, and sinus infection. Boom boom boom. Yeah it really sucks. I don't remember the last time I was this sick and I really hate it, especially since it means I can't go to school. Whenever I cough, I feel like I'm going to crack a rib, but that would be sorta cool right? ;) I digress...
My birthday is in three days so I thought I would commemorate the end of being 16 with a few posts. Today, it will be my 16 of my favorite pictures of when I was 16.
