"Brothers and sisters are as close as fingers and toes."
I am 16. Brandon is 13 (14 in less than a month). Olivia is 12. To put it mildly, we don't always get along. We are all very set in our ways, and have trouble seeing eye to eye in some situations. But at the end of the day, we're best friends. As much as we fight, we cause havoc through genius ideas (that can lead us to trouble). Recalling some of the things we did as children, I realize how much grief we have her.
Making a rope swing over the banister.
Taking out all the blankets, sleeping bags, and her nice throw pillows into the outside playhouse.
Dissecting a dead rabbit in the backyard.
Playing crab apple tennis against the house.
When Mom would punish us for these things, as we sat in our rooms, we would PictoChat each other on our Nintendo DS's or run down the hallway, passing notes. We would laugh, thinking we were the sneakiest children ever!
Nowadays, we laugh at things like when google tells us how to freeze things or when we pass L.A. Boxing and O says she wants to go to la Boxing. Oh brother (and sister;)). Our great ideas that get us in trouble include leaving to get Icees before dinner without asking Mom or jumping on to the trampoline from the clubhouse roof, or pinching/hitting each other's butts (well, that's only Olivia and me).
I found some pretty darn cute pictures of them and us when we were little. Man alive, the time goes by fast.
